What is the average hourly wage for a Chiropractic Assistant?

I have worked at the position for a year and am ready to ask for a raise but am not sure what a fair amount to ask for would be. Is it typically a % of the hourly wage? I am in the NE United States.

Hello there, I used to be a CA in New Jersey and made $10 an hour. I know the pay for a CA can range anywhere from 7-15 dollars, and after doing a little online research I’ve found that the national average is about 12 dollars.

Your raise will probably be influenced by how well the DC is doing. If the practice has become more successful recently (hopefully thanks to you! haha), and if you’ve been doing more work or doing an exceptional job, then asking for a raise shouldn’t be a problem. If you’re worried about exactly how much more to ask for, you could always say something like, "I was wondering if you would consider giving me a raise based on my performance here at the office. Do you think $ X is appropriate?" But that’s just a suggestion.

Good luck! Hope everything works out for you!
