Does chiropractic care help to lose weight?

I know this question sounds odd.. But APPARENTLY chiropractic care allows the body to better flow it’s energy down the spine or something like that..
Would this affect weight loss (inability to lose weight) if there were a blockage?
I’m on a 1,200 cal/day medically supervised weight loss plan so I can get down to 145 (currently 218), and if this could be causing me to slow my loss, it’s something I’d look into.
Thanks for advice!

Inconclusive data on whether chiropractic helps with weight loss. Theoretically, if there was an issue with the nerves dealing with improper digestion or slow metabolism due to slow thyroid or adrenal glands, then yes, chiropractic may help. But I’d stick with your current medically supervised diet.
Well, maybe if you spend enough time in his/her office, you will have less time to eat. Kidding!
I guess in theory, you might be on to something. But all of the research tells us that genetics and exercise levels set our ability to burn calories and body metabolic set point.
The equation of calories in, versus calories out, is difficult to argue with.
I think you are on the right path; stay with it. At 1200 calories a day, you will lose weight for sure.
Good luck, "soon to be thin person",
