I am wanting to remove a really old carpet from a floor that has wood underneath. The wood is in OK shape and I would like to not have to refinish it right now. Our daughter spilled fruit punch on the light brown carpet in the dining room in our apartment and we have rented a carpet cleaner twice from lowes and used the resolve cleaner it comes with and it didn’t work at all on the red. Is there anything we can do to get the stains up? Thanks
we have tried resolve, hot water & resolve, and another household carpet stain remover, but set in red stains are very hard to remove!
Is Carpet or Hard wood better to put in a rental property in a lower income area?
I just got my first rehab duplex and I am wondering what to do with the flooring. Hardwood doesn’t have to get replaced all the time like carpet can, but I noticed that when we walk on the upper unit it can be very loud for the lower unit. Would carpet make a big difference in how much sound would come from kids running around etc. in the upper unit for people living below?

I have a beige carpet, how can I get blood spots out of it? I tried peroxide and soap and water. It came out for the most part with that but you can still see faded stains. I tried some kind of carpet cleaner but that didn’t really work. What else can I try?

What is something you can place on carpet to keep heavy traffic areas clean?
We just cleaned our carpets. It was a horrible pain, but now I am obsessed with keeping those high traffic areas clean. There will be a no shoes policy, but we do have a dog, and just people around will get a (whitish) carpet dirty. Any ideas?
