About 3 months ago I bought my first copy and lent the book to a First Grade Class. 
The teacher told me a good number of the kids really liked the book and later on a lot of them thanked me for it. I bought a copy for them to keep in their class. Since them I have bought copies for my great-granddaughter and my granddaughter. Recently I lent it to a Fourth Grader that loved it and asked for it as her upcoming birthday present. Kids do love it (most of them anyway!).

This is a great little juicer, I got it about 6 months ago. I use it to supplement my diet, (about 3 times a week). The Juicer may be small but it is mighty. Although some have complained that the shoot is to small, cutting the item to be juiced in half will solve that problem and save you 90 bucks in the long run. I was amazed at how much juice came out of this this thing. Clean up is a bit of a pain, but I do not see any other juicer that would not have that issue too. Hey, I bought this juicier to try my hand at juicing, and do not regret the purchase.

This book is an essential resource for understanding energy policy as it relates to conservation and to renewable resources.
I’ve just been listening to yet another “news” report pointing out that compact fluorescent light bulbs don’t save much energy because an incandescent light bulb will also heat your house.
Coincidentally I had just read the part of this book dealing with this myth, so I was able to confidently mutter under my breath “true, but only in the winter (when you need the heating) and only if you are heating inefficiently using electricity.”
This book puts real numbers to a lot of hand-waving arguments which are used to justify grandiose claims made for different renewable energy sources or to imply that we could save the world if we all just unplugged our mobile phone chargers. Some of the arguments stand up when the numbers are put in, but many don’t. When you see what the numbers are, it becomes evident how unrealistic and ineffectual many of the proposals are.
Is it worth unplugging a power block when not in use? Can planes be made more efficient? How much space would solar farms or a wind farms need to occupy to meet our energy needs? How much agricultural land would be required for bio-diesel? All these questions (and many more) are answered.

This single volume is currently the most comprehensive work available in print. Rand McNaly did a volume several years ago, but it is unavailable. The planes presented in this volume cover both world wars, the Cold War, and the present. Each plane has a brief text explaining production and other details then either a photograph or a drwaing of what it looked like. Entries for most aircraft also include specifications on engine, armament, and other engineering information.
This book is organized alphabetically by manufacturer and entries include the common and well known to the obscure. Several manufacturers presented in this book were unknown to me until I paged through the magnificent book. Military historians and airplane experts will enjoy this book. Actually anyone with an interest in military aircraft will appreciate the efforts put into this book.

I have been using QuickBooks Pro from Amazon for about 10 years, and the new 2012 version is the 5th version I have worked with. It provides complete accounting tools for managing a small to medium sized business. I have used it for a law firm, and currently for two non-profits. I highly recommend QuickBooks Pro.

I was looking for a new monitor to compliment my Mac Pro since I am dropping $4k+ on the Mac itself I can’t afford their ONLY option of a $1k 27 inch monitor. I did some research and took a look at the reviews and decided to take a shot on this Viewsonic 24 inch with speakers. For $189 you can’t beat it. It has DVI and VGA inputs w/ built in speakers and the quality is really solid. I use the DVI inputs with a DirecTV HD receiver and use the VGA with my Mac/PC. I am a little disappointed with the black levels for use as an HDTV but it’s not really meant for that per se but I can’t complain for the price. The speakers are pretty weak but the primary use for this monitor is for my studio DAW. It’s a bonus though to be able to watch TV to take a break.

Ordered the keyboard and mouse as a temporary replacement for my gaming needs as I didn’t want to use my laptop keys. But this turned out to be a good deal for the price as the keyboard is really sleek and contains all the necessary multimedia settings. It is light and handy, the mouse is very good with its design and precision. The package reached my place two days prior to the estimated delivery date. Overall this is an excellent deal and I would recommend this to anyone.
