Book Recommendation: Jillian Micheals, Unlimited

I threw all my other self help books out. Why? Because I think this is the best book ever written. The author talks to you and does not just state fact. She talks like she is in the same room with you. I am still reading this book but I will not deviate and go to another type self help. For anyone that just wants a small change or a big chang I recommend this book highly. That is the way it was recommended to me.

I purchased this for my daughter’s little dog about a month ago. I decided to buy the larger size so that the dog would have room to move around on it. To my surprise (I was hoping when I bought this) he used this the first day and has continued to use it. The grass portion is nice and soft like real grass. Book Recommendation: A Stolen Life: A Memoir

When Jaycee Dugard was eleven years old, she was abducted from a school bus stop within sight of her home in South Lake Tahoe, California. A Stolen Life was written by Jaycee herself and covers the period from the time of her abduction in 1991 up until the present. In her stark, compelling narrative, she opens up about what she experienced—and offers an extraordinary account of courage and resilience.

I enjoyed this book, even though there are some graphic descriptions, it is worth reading. Jaycee is a survivor and is learning, more, everyday about moving on. She endured what no little girl should have to endure, but somehow found a way to get through each day for 18 years. She was betrayed, over and over again, by the parole and legal system who could have ended her misery many times. It is well written and sometimes heartbreaking. I think women will like this book more than men, because of the emotions attached to it.

It’s Not Too Late To Give A Kindle For Christmas

I was surprised to find that I can still plan an order for a Kindle Fire and get it in time for Christmas. How cool is that?

The Kindle Fire is just that, a device which is a whole lotta fun, plain and simple. I have been enjoying the Fire for over a week now and I can honestly say I’m getting my money’s worth. The screen size and touch screen capabilities are just top notch. Someone at Amazon has definitely been doing their homework! And the apps are fantastic! Lots to choose from and quite a number of them are free. Streaming works like a charm and the price is not too shabby either. All in all, a fantastic little device that’s a bargain in these economically challenging times. A+

I’ve had this GPS for about a week and overall I’m happy. The display is nice and bright and easy to see in the sunlight. Using this device in portrait mode makes a lot of sense because you are typically more interested in what is in front of you rather than on the side of you. Information on the display is well thought out and very usable.

The GPS is super simple to use with a very logical user interface, and the POI coverage is pretty good. I typed in a few obscure places and if found them all.

The one thing that is a little screwy has to do with re-routing. As a test, I programmed an address and selected a route that was a shorter distance but a longer travel time by 10 minutes (1:30 travel time). But instead of following the GPS directions, I drove a route that I was familiar with (1:20 travel time). The 2455 kept trying to get me back on to the route I originally chose even when I was at a location 1 hr from my destination and the re-routing would have taken 1:30. I would have expected the GPS to choose the route that I was traveling on when the time and distance became shorter than the re-route but that was not the case.

Overall I’m happy with the GPS. I’m just not sure about the re-routing logic.

I Want To Give My Son A Powerdrill

I finally broke down and purchased a drill worth talking about. This is a nice drill for projects around the house and at work. The price was not too expensive and I am sure I will get plenty of use out of it.

This kit is an excellent value no matter where you finally purchase 18v DC970K-2 Dewalt from. The extra bonus of having an extra battery (2 batteries in this kit)around for those of us who own multiple 18v Dewalt products is beyond a very good thing. The 18V battery alone by itself solo at one time retailed for $80 plus dollars.This i know first hand because i bought one back then too. I don’t have much to add here that others have not said perhaps far better in other reviews. Hey its a Dewalt and a very strong unit. For the cost this is a performer no matter what you may ask this drill to do for you.

So far i have used it to screw/drill boards, siding, drywall and sheet metal. This 18v DC970K-2 Dewalt drill does what a drill should do and the battery life is also pretty good all things considered. But please do your wallet a big favor by shopping around for the best price available as i was really surprised at the differences more so when you add shipping or tax depending on your location.
