How to get red stains out of carpet?
Our daughter spilled fruit punch on the light brown carpet in the dining room in our apartment and we have rented a carpet cleaner twice from lowes and used the resolve cleaner it comes with and it didn’t work at all on the red. Is there anything we can do to get the stains up? Thanks
we have tried resolve, hot water & resolve, and another household carpet stain remover, but set in red stains are very hard to remove!
What type of carpet pad will reduce impact and airborn sound transmission?
We live in an apartment where we can hear everything above us (footsteps, talking, cell phones vibrating, etc.). Our landlords claim to have installed a carpet with padding in the room above us, but there is no difference in sound transmission. Does anyone know specifically what type of padding should be used to reduce these noises? It is currently impossible to sleep or relax in our apartment and we have another five months before our lease is up. Sometimes I go home to central illinois for the weekend, usually via amtrak, but they do not allow pets on board. Are there any other modes of travel that allow pets other than flying or driving?
Can I install carpet over exposed asbestos adhesive?
My cousin recently asked me to renovate an apartment for her. Unfortunately, her husband began removing the linoleum with a floor scraper before he was informed that the underlying adhesive had asbestos in it. All the tile is gone now and most of the adhesive has already been stripped away, but there’s still quite a bit that’s exposed and half scraped away. What should I do?
