What is the cheapest way to travel from Culpeper/Charlottesville VA to Charleston SC?

I wanted to go see a friend down in Charleston for a few days, but after searching for a while I couldn’t find any sites or traveling methods that would offer a cheap way to travel. I also couldn’t find any bus sites that would go from the Culpeper/Charlottesville area to Charleston. Does anyone know of some good sites/places that offer a cheap,safe, and good way to travel? Thanks.

How can I tell if the carpet in my apartment was recently cleaned?

The management office for our apartment told us the carpets would be cleaned a few days before we moved in. Yesterday (Sunday) was our move-in day, however, the carpets don’t look as though they were cleaned yet. I called the office today and the office maintenance log says the carpets were cleaned, but I’m not sure this is accurate. How can I tell by looking at the carpets whether they were cleaned or not? There are still lots of furniture marks in the carpet and some stains. There are also no lines where the machine would have passed on the carpets. I have two small children who literally live on the floor all day, so I want to be sure the job was done right!

How do I get red ink out of carpet?

Ok this is driving me crazy as I just noticed it. There is a 1/4th inch red ink on the carpet, I’m not sure what to do that will help get rid of it, and I’m afraid of rubbing it as it will just get bigger and bigger. What do I do to help get rid of it? plz I need help as we just had this carpet shampoo’d just a few days ago, as we are moving in about 2 weeks, and the carpet was nice and clean, and after this guy came in from home depot to put in the microwave, I noticed this red ink in the carpet, where he walked. its just one spot.

Getting rid of carpet stains that reappear after I clean them?

I’ve used a heavy duty carpet cleaner, steam mop w/ the carpet attachment, pretty much all the carpet cleaning solutions (expensive, cheap, & in between carpet cleaners), and nothing has worked. Sometimes the stain will go away and then reappear just like it was before in a few days. What gives?! What’s your best carpet stain cleaning advice?

Is it cheaper to travel in Europe using a tour or individually?

I am studying abroad this summer in Greece and want to travel to other countries after my class is done for a couple of weeks (8-14 days). Is it cheaper to use a tour company like EF College Break tours or just travel by myself? Would it be better to spend more time in one country or a few days in lots of places?
