Replacement carpeting (we’re moving). Looking at about a 15 foot hallway and 2 "average" size rooms that are maybe 12×12?. Just average carpet price and installation associated with something like that, what’s a ballpark figure?

Is it in the job description for carpet installers to be friendly with building residents where the carpet installers are currently working?

By friendly, I mean saying "hi" when a resident greets them if they pass each other in the hallway.

The water isn’t dirty or anything, but the carpet in the hallway outside, of the bathroom door, is saturated. How can I remedy this myself without calling in professionals?
The area that is wet is approximately 2.5 feet x 7 feet.

How can I repair carpet that my dog has torn?

My dog has torn up the carpet at the seam in my hallway!! What is the best way to repair it? I know I’ll have to get some carpet from the closet to put in it’s place, but what kind of adhesive do I use? I’ve tried the carpet tape, but this is a pretty big area. Any advice?
I have padding underneath the carpet, no just a bare floor. If that makes a difference.

What kind of carpet should I get for wheelchair use?

My carpet in the bedrooms and hallway is the original carpet (16 years old). it is a plush or cut pile. My husband is a quadriplegic in a motorized wheelchair. He is very tough on all types of floors. We have burber in the living room and dining room and it seems to wear well. I would like to try frieze. He tends to mash and twist the carpet, especially when turning into a doorway. Will the frieze mat down quickly?

How can I replace the carpet in my hallway and make it look like the rest of the house?

We are renting, and the carpet in the hallway is damaged at some edges. I was told I might be able to stretch it to make it reach, but if I’m unable to do that, I want to replace it and make it appear like the rest of the house. The carpet in the rest of the house is aged, cheap, and has stains, so I just need cheap carpet of the same color. The house is about 6 years old, and I’m guessing this carpet is the original, because it’s terrible. Any suggestions?

I am re-carpeting my old home. Is it OK to use a different color carpet in bedrooms than in hallways?

The home is a duplex converted to a single-family home. The two hallways are still intact with 2 bedrooms off each hallway. I am planning to recarpet throughout and both hallways, living room, den will be same carpet color. Is it OK to have a different color carpet in the bedrooms or should carpet throughout be the same color. Also, any ideas for color for a small teen boy’s bedroom?

How to match carpet seamlessly?

I am planning to reinstall the carpet in one room of my house.
I want to match this carpet exactly to the carpet in the hallway outside the room. Luckily, I managed to find an identical replacement carpet at a local store. This is a do-it-yourself project. I have read a lot of instructions on the Internet describing how to install a carpet but they do not describe if it is possible to match the carpet seamlessly between two different sections of the floor and what precautions I should take to do it. I will appreciate any tips on it (or a link). A very large area of my house (1750 sq ft) has identical carpet and I do not see any visible joint anywhere. So it must be possible. Appreciate your help.
